We have reached 45,000 participants

We are getting closer and closer to the end of the recruitment phase of Cantabria Cohort! With more than 45,000 participants, we continue to advance in our mission to collect samples and data to boost biomedical research. In April we will celebrate 4 years of trajectory, with more than 10 established scientific collaborations and solid financial support from the Government of Cantabria.

Soon, the project will have its own governance and we continue to include initiatives such as the implementation of cognitive tests through the CogniFit platform and new questionnaires to improve the quality of the study. In addition, the coordinators have started live broadcasts as a means of direct communication with the participants through our YouTube channel.

In parallel, we are involved in a new initiative with the General Directorate for Public Health, focused on developing a strategy to tackle childhood obesity in our region.

Although we have already had the support of more than 45,000 residents in Cantabria, we still need 5,000 more people! In particular, we would like make a call to the population of the areas furthest from Santander (Liébana, Campoo-Los Valles, Valles Pasiegos, Asón-Agüera and Costa Oriental) between 40 and 44 years old. We are waiting for you!
