On Thursday, November 28th, we welcomed Professor Karol Adam Kamiński, Vice-Rector and Head of the Cardiology Department at the Medical University of Białystok, to the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital.
As part of IDIVAL’s ‘Santander Biomedical Lectures’ program, Dr. Kamiński delivered the lecture titled ‘Białystok Plus – A Comprehensive General Population Cohort Study: Opportunities for Synergies and Cooperation’.
The Białystok Plus cohort is an initiative aimed at studying the long-term health of the population of Białystok, Poland. It involves extensive medical examinations, ranging from electrocardiograms and imaging tests to voice analysis and the collection of various biological samples. The volume of data they gather is truly impressive.
