Cognitive assessment testing arrives at Cantabria Cohort through CogniFit

The development of a country commonly involves an increase in life expectancy among its citizens. However, as populations reach increasingly advanced ages, there is a higher incidence of diseases associated with cognitive decline, such as Alzheimer’s.

At Cantabria Cohort, we consider it essential to have cognitive information about our volunteers to advance research aimed at the prevention and early detection of cognitive decline. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that we are now inviting our participants to complete online cognitive assessment tests. These scientifically validated tests have been adapted to a digital format by CogniFit, a pioneering digital health company dedicated to assessing and enhancing cognitive health.

The tests are designed as skill-based games, similar in appearance to those played on a mobile phone or tablet. They will be repeated every four years, and as always, the results will remain strictly confidential and will be used solely for research purposes. For now, we are sending invitations to new participants six weeks after their appointment at Cantabria Cohort, but this invitation will be extended to all volunteers during the follow-up stage.
